The Midi Hoard is a durable detector and is waterproof up to 1 m underwater. So your little adventurer can safely search the beach and waterfront, and there is no problem if the detector accidentally falls into the water. The Midi Hoard has an armrest for more comfort when swinging the detector back and forth, a stand on which the Midi Hoard remains stable when set aside, a telescopic handle that can be adjusted to a length of 82 to 109 cm, and an 18 cm/ 7" search coil including protective dish. With its 15 kHz, the search coil offers an ideal depth of search for children aged 8 to 12.

Easy operation
The Midi Hoard is very easy to use with only 3 buttons. The right button is used to turn the detector on and off and to turn iron discrimination on or off. The middle button is the pinpoint button, to identify exactly where the object is located. The clear display shows with symbols what kind of object may be under the ground. For example, the left pad indicates if there is a nail, screw or horseshoe (iron objects), the middle pad indicates if there is a coin, ring, pull tab, aluminum foil or gold and the right pad indicates if there is a coin, pull tab or silver. You can also read the depth of the object in 3 segments and with the battery indicator you can see if the 2 AA batteries are still full, half-full and if they need replacement. With the Midi Hoard, the volume is adjustable to 2 settings and the sensitivity/search depth is adjustable to 3 settings.
